It's Time to Eat! Meal Time at a Senior Living Community

One of the most important factors when deciding on a senior living community is the food. Depending on the meal plan, you will have up to three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Senior living communities provide a restaurant style dining experience. A menu is provided monthly so residences can review what meals will be provided. If they would like something different, that can be requested. Residences can also provide feedback and recommendations on the meals.

The dining experience at a senior living community is also social time with other residences in the community. You never have to eat a meal by yourself, and can meet new people by joining their table.

The meals at senior living communities are planned from a licensed dietitian to make sure they are healthy and meet the nutritional needs. And yes there will always be dessert! If a resident has a health or allergy concern, the food-staff is made aware if they need to avoid certain foods.

One of the benefits of having planned meals at a senior living community is to know you're always going to have something to eat. No need to risk going out to a grocery store to purchase foods. No need to prep, cook or clean. No reason to go hungry. Family and friends don't have to check on their loved ones to make sure their eating.
